If you haven’t canned for a while or have never canned before, Family & Community Health Sciences (FCHS) invites you to attend its Home Preservation: Canning in Glass Jars Workshop on Thursday, May 16th at 6:30-9:00 pm at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office, 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater.
Learn safe home caning methods for jams, fruit, vegetables and pickles. Participants will make jam and take home a jar. Bring a small box (about 4 inches by 4 inches or larger) to bring home the hot jar.
