The Frank “Nap” Torpey Athletic Complex is located along the north side of the Raritan River in Bridgewater Township. One of several parks acquired through the Park/Open Space Program as part of the County’s Raritan River Greenway Initiative,  this is a priority park as defined by the County’s duly adopted "Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan."
The Torpey Athletic Complex consists of lighted grass baseball and softball fields as well as a state-of-the-art, synthetic turf, multi-purpose athletic field programmed for seasonal sports. All fields are available for rental for tournaments, league play, and practice. The latest addition to the complex is a 10,000 square foot building for public and employee use, with attached bleachers adding 1,000 seats to allow spectator seating of a total of 1,500.
The addition of the concession area, bathrooms, and locker rooms brings the Torpey Complex up to world-class status. The fields are maintained to the highest standards and now the facility, which is fully utilized by schools, municipal recreation departments, and the general public, is fully prepared to accommodate spectators.
