BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) has announced that the September Fifth Friday Friars Public Policy Luncheon will once again be combined with the Salute to Tourism Awards in a single event. The luncheon will continue the trend of focusing on issues that enhance Somerset County’s economic competitiveness by presenting the 2016 “Salute to Tourism” awards followed by keynote speaker Mike Trostel, Director of the United States Golf Association Museum in Far Hills, New Jersey.
The Fifth Friday luncheon is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2016 at Raritan Valley Country Club, 747 State Route 28, Raritan, New Jersey. The “Salute To Tourism” awards will begin at 11:00 A.M. followed by the business social at 12:00 Noon with the luncheon beginning at 12:30 P.M.
The “Salute to Tourism Awards” recognizes dedicated individuals and organizations that have made a positive economic contribution to Somerset County through Tourism activities. Charter sponsor to “Salute to Tourism” is Duke Farms.
USGA Museum Director Mike Trostel will speak about the USGA Museum in Bernards Township, NJ. Trostel is responsible for strategic planning, content oversight, and acquisition of artifacts at the USGA Museum. He has previously served as the Museum’s curator and historian, co–authoring Great Moments of the U.S. Open, a book that includes a foreword by Jack Nicklaus.
